From an Idea to a Gumball Machine: A New Adventure for Axel Services

One of my favorite things about running Axel Services is finding new ways to learn about business while helping my community.

Recently, my dad found an old gumball machine through someone he knew. Instead of seeing an old machine, I saw an opportunity to create something new.

We brought it home and got right to work. Together, we cleaned it, polished it, and repaired the locking mechanism to give it a second life. It took a lot of hard work, but seeing it restored made it all worth it.

Once it was ready, I knew exactly what I wanted to do next.

I wanted to find a local business that would let me place the machine in their shop. So I put together my courage, walked into Anchor & Anvil Coffee Bar, introduced myself to the owner, and shared my idea. I explained what Axel Services is all about and asked if they would consider letting me place my gumball machine in their coffee shop.

I'm incredibly grateful that they believed in me and said yes!

Today, my very first gumball machine is officially open at Anchor & Anvil Coffee Bar, and I couldn't be more excited.

Every quarter someone drops into the machine helps me continue growing Axel Services. Instead of spending the money, I'm reinvesting it back into my business so I can keep learning, take on new opportunities, and work toward my next big goal.

And what is that goal?

Expanding into the claw machine business!

This gumball machine is just the beginning, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.
